What we collect

• To fulfil an order: your name, phone number, delivery address and email (if given). Payment card details are handled by Paystack and never reach our servers.
• To answer a message: the details you type into the form.
• If you create an account: the above plus your saved addresses, orders and wishlist.
• Automatically: anonymous usage statistics (which pages are visited) so we can improve the site.

How we use it

To deliver and install what you ordered, to contact you about it (by call, WhatsApp, SMS or email), and to reply to your questions. We send marketing messages only if you tick the box to allow them, and you can stop them at any time by replying STOP or emailing us.

Who we share it with

Only the people needed to complete your order: our delivery riders and installation technicians, our courier partners for other states, Paystack for payment, and (if you use the shopping assistant) our AI provider, as below. We never sell your data.

Our AI shopping assistant

The chat button on the shop is an AI assistant, not a person. To answer you, what you type is sent to our AI provider (OpenRouter and the AI model it uses), together with the shop's product, delivery and policy information. If you are signed in, it can also look up your own orders and account so it can answer about them; it never sees card details or passwords.

Your chat itself is kept only in your browser tab and disappears when you close it. To improve the assistant, we keep each question and its answer, with phone numbers and email addresses removed and without your name or account, for 30 days, along with any thumbs up or down you give. Please don't type personal details you don't need to share. A person is always available on WhatsApp instead.

How long we keep it

Order records for [6 years] as required for accounting. Messages for [12 months]. Assistant questions and answers for 30 days. Account data until you ask us to delete it.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you. Email thechoicesanitary@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp; we respond within 30 days.

The site uses cookies to remember your cart and, if you consent, to measure visits. No advertising cookies are set without your consent.
